Unfortunately it looks like they think the radio station is a permanent thing, well you never know do you?

James May’s fans seem to have found the video as most of the traffic on the blog now seems to be coming from a James May Message Forum, how cool is that!

Visual of the Blog Visits 2009

KVFM STATS2

A very good visual record of the hits on the blog when you are on air, good innit!

Before You Inundate me with requests for pictures and CDs of Show….

Before you all start emailing for audio CDs and pictures of the show Sheila will be compiling the photos soon and I will be putting a large number of them on here for people to download themselves.

There will also be a final DVD which all participants will get a copy of and also a copy of the brochure thingy, these along with a certificate will be given out and DVD premiere on the KVFM “Celebration” Day provisonally booked for 12th July so keep that date free in your diary. Also sometime next weekthe entire broadcast will be restreamed in chronological order over a period of 19 days, the date this starts will be announced soon.

Also we got a high quality book of photos published, only 5 last time, but this time at the celebration event people will be able to order a copy of the new one, we dont know the costs yet but it’s likely to be at least £50 (they are printed in  the US of  A, so if people do want one then you’ll need to start saving!

Finally the entire broadcast will be uploaded in the two hour programmes with photo, date of broadcast and short description, people can listen online or download it as an MP3. Dont expect this to happen for a while probably  mid June.

A BIG BIG BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART AND TO EVERYONE WHO LISTENED AND ENJOYED KVFM 2009.

AS ARNIE PUT IT

“WE’LL BE BACK”

Last day

Well to paraphrase Elmer Fudd
“That’s not all Folks”. the broadcasting has finished but KVFM hasnt, not by a long chalk.

I wanted to read this poem out yesterday in the last hour but thought it would be more appropriate to put it in here as a mark of respect and love for Carl Speare the person and Carl Speare the Educator, Carl Speare the Dad and Husband
Tarah Mate it wouldnt have happened without you

Death Is Nothing At All
by Henry Scott Holland (1847-1918),

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room,
I am I and you are you,
Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used,
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow,
Laugh as we always laughed,
At the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant,
It is the same that it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind,
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval,
Somewhere very near,
Just around the corner, all is well.

Oh my god it’s the last day! What am I going to do now?
