Dave Speare is unwell….you could tell today because,
A) we couldnt figure out how to record a CD
b) we didnt have any paper!
c) or pens!
d) or task and evaluation sheets
or
e) how to plug everything into the deck properly, we felt proper dunces, pass the pointed cap and sit in the corner
But this didnt stop the young men and young women from New Park and St Micheals doing a hlaf a dozen jingles for their shows….goood stuff or what
SO DAVE GET WELL SOON….
Just spent an hour filling out forms, writing cheques for all the licences for the next KVFM, to give you an idea of what is involved and the costs this is what we have to pay.
For the initial application to Ofcom jsut to apply for a licence its £400 (thats non refundable as well!!!)
next when the man from Ofcom he say “Yes” its another £450 for telegraphy bit and another £600 for the RSL licence. Next there’s the music, PRS and MCPS get £695.08 and PPL another £661.25, then there’s anothe £60 for PRS for streaming, and fianlly another £224 to JFMG jsut to pay for the link fom McDonalds to The transmitter on the roof of the KCLC……phew, that reminds me I must get that kidney on ebay!!!.
As my Old Grey Haired Mother used to say when I asked for an ureasonable amount of money “Its not much when you say it fast!!”, but it’s well worth it, one kidney or not!

Starts on Monday 7th to Friday 18th December kicking off at the unearthly hour of 6 am with the “F E B Show” (Full English Breakfast) Guaranteed to get you going in the morning.
Although we are trying to do this version of KVFM as cheap as possible the quality of the shows are guaranteed.
SCHOOLS: New Park, St Michaels and Phoenix are all planning a series of shows over the 12 days while the Academy young men and young women are working really hard on preparing their series of fantastic two hour

YOUNG PEOPLE: we currently have four groups of young people signed up to do their shows, there’s even some from the North Liverpool Academy.
COMMUNITY: Some Old familiar faces return with their shows: Ian Sinnitt, Steve Abramson, Jessie Singleton, Mark and Paula, and a couple of new faces including Cathy Taylorm a show on Netball and another called enigmatically “Who Cares?” (well she does for a start!)
